Club 1000 Plus

About Club 1000 Plus.

Club 1000 Plus is a training log for lifting, WODs, nutrition and body check-ins, with leaderboards worth climbing. It runs on Android and in any mobile or desktop browser, on one account. It was built by someone who needed it first.

Today's session in the Log on a phone: Fran, bench press and back squat with PR tags, and the session's active calories added to the day's nutrition budget.

David Bechara, founder

David Bechara is an engineer with a desk job who lost 100 pounds. He started with fewer than 3,000 steps a day and one goal, 10,000 steps every day, before he changed what he ate or lifted a weight. Then he began writing everything down: what he ate, what he lifted, how far he walked and how his body measured week after week.

That record is what made the difference, and it is why Club 1000 Plus exists. He wanted food, training and body check-ins in one place, with nothing interrupting the moment you log a set or a meal, and with other people to train alongside. When that did not quite exist, he built it.

David writes every post on the Club 1000 Plus blog from his own experience. Start with:

What the app holds to

  • Honest numbers. Calorie targets, body fat and estimated maxes are labelled as fitness estimates, and nutrition targets are for adults 18 and over. Daily weight swings are smoothed into a trend.
  • Calm about food. Going over a target is information, not a failure, and the app never paints it as one.
  • Private by default. Your food log is yours alone. Workouts and body check-ins stay private until you share them.
  • Nothing between you and the log. Recording a set or a meal is never interrupted.
  • Fair boards. The 1000 pound club is one board of three. The Challenge boards count lifting volume, cardio minutes and days logged, and Biggest Loser ranks by percentage of bodyweight lost, so starting weight does not decide the ranking.

Where the numbers come from

Estimated one-rep maxes average the Mayhew, Wathan and Lombardi formulas; try them in the one rep max calculator or the 1000 lb club calculator. The food library is built on USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts and UK CoFID data, and every data source and library is credited on the open-source licenses page. 1000+ totals are reviewed on video against the published submission standards.

Every calculation the app shows is informational, not medical advice, and is not produced or reviewed by a certified personal trainer. The blog shares general fitness information and personal experience; check with a doctor before changing how you eat or train. If you spot an inaccuracy, tell us.
