Help Center

How to log a workout, a WOD, a meal or a check-in, choose what others see, and find your way around the app on a phone or a computer. In the app, open the account menu and choose Help to come back here.

The Workouts tab on a phone: today's session with its session time and total volume above the exercises logged so far.

Quick start

  1. Tap + in the bottom bar (on a computer, Log Workout in the sidebar) and choose Log workout to record your first strength sets or cardio.
  2. Tap + → Body check-in to record your weight. Your trend, pace and calorie targets all start from it.
  3. Open Nutrition and choose Set up my targets, then log what you eat with + → Add food.
  4. When you want others to see a session or a check-in, tap Share. Everything is private until you do.
  5. Open Leaderboards from the account menu (tap your photo) to see where you stand.

Guides

See how an exercise works your muscles

After choosing an exercise in Log Exercise, tap Info below its name. The read-only sheet lists primary and secondary muscles, shows the front or back anatomy view when that muscle has a region, and may include equipment, instructions, tips and start/finish illustrations. A muscle can still appear in the text list when it is not drawn. Close the sheet to return to the exercise exactly as you left it; loading or failing to load this information never changes your sets or prevents saving.

Add anything with the + button

On a phone, the bottom bar is Feed, Workouts, the red +, Nutrition and Body. Tap + from any screen to add something: Add food (it starts at the time it is now — change the time in the form), Log workout, Log a WOD (opens the WOD form straight away), Add water, Fasting (start a fast, or end the one running) or Body check-in. Whatever fits the screen you are on comes first, so on Nutrition the top choice is Add food. Each choice opens its form straight away — no scrolling to find the right button. On a phone, forms and details open over the whole screen; tap ✕ at the top to close them. Leaderboards is now in the account menu: tap your photo in the top-right corner.

Log exercises

Use Log Exercise to record strength sets or cardio, then track updates in History. When you tap + → Add exercise, the Recent tab lists the exercises you've logged, newest first; tap All for every exercise, grouped by body part. The search box searches whichever tab is open — if a recent search comes up empty, tap Search all exercises. To note how an exercise felt, tap Notes beside the save button — it opens a tray like leaving a comment on the feed. Tap Done to keep the note (the × closes without keeping it); it is saved with the exercise when you tap Save, or Update when you are editing one. Notes ✓ means the exercise already has a note. The top of the day's session shows its Session time (from when you started your first exercise to when you saved your last) and its Total volume (weight × reps across your strength sets, in lb or kg). Verify date/time before saving so progression charts stay accurate.

Add a comment or photos to a session

At the bottom of Log Exercise, tap Log additional notes/photos to open How did today's session feel? — it takes a comment and up to 4 photos. Tap Add photo as many times as you like — each new picture is added next to the others, never on top of one. Tap the × on a thumbnail to remove just that photo. Tap Done once to save it to today's workout right away — you'll see Saved successfully under the button (the × in the corner closes without saving, but keeps what you typed for next time you open it), and each photo becomes its own swipeable slide on your feed post once you share the session.

Choose what goes on the feed

Your workouts and body check-ins are private until you share them. To post a session to the Activity Feed, tap Share to the right of Log additional notes/photos at the bottom of Log Exercise — it changes to Shared ✓. Tap it again to take the session back off the feed. For a check-in, tap Share beside Save check-in before you save — or share it any time later: open Body → History and tap Share on that check-in (or open it and tap Share). It posts right away; tap Shared ✓ to take it back off the feed. To hide a post that is already on the feed, tap the ⋯ on your own post and choose Hide from feed. Hiding never deletes anything: your workout stays in your history with its likes and comments, and they come back if you share it again.

Log a WOD (workout of the day)

In Log Exercise, tap + → Log a WOD (on a computer it opens right in the Log card, like adding an exercise: ✕ goes back, ✓ saves). Give it a name (or pick a benchmark like Fran or Cindy), choose the format — For Time, AMRAP, EMOM, Max Load or Reps — and enter your score: a finish time in Minutes and Seconds (long WODs are fine — 90 minutes is just 90), rounds + reps, or your heaviest load. Hit the time cap? Tick I hit the time cap and enter the reps you finished. Choose Rx, Scaled or Rx+, type or paste the workout, and optionally tag movements. Your WOD shows on your feed post with everything you recorded. Beating an earlier score for the same WOD marks it a PR. A routine is your whole day — lifts, cardio and WODs, in the order you did them (a WOD on its own counts too). Tap + → Save as routine on the day to keep it (a WOD keeps the workout, never your score); Add routine later queues everything, and tapping Log on a queued WOD opens it ready for your new score.

Pick your gym in My Gym

Open the account menu (your photo, top-right) → My Gym, choose your gym from the list and tap Save. No gym is picked for you — until you choose one it says None and you won't see any gym's workouts. To stop following a gym, choose None and tap Save. Only you can see which gym you picked. Recommended workouts then shows what your gym has posted, newest first. Tap a post (or Read full workout) to read the whole thing right here, or use View on gym site to open your gym's own page. The latest one also appears as Today at your gym on Log Exercise, and See today's gym WOD opens it while you fill in a WOD. Your gym's posts are for reading — log what you actually did with Log a WOD.

Track nutrition and macros

Tap Nutrition in the bottom bar (right of the +) and choose Set up my targets. Pick a goal — Lose weight, Maintain, Recomposition or Gain muscle — then how exercise is counted and your activity level, and the BMR formula. The Calorie calculator in the same sheet shows your daily calories to maintain, and to lose or gain 0.5, 1 or 2 lb a week (0.25, 0.5 or 1 kg); tap a row to use it. To lose or gain, add your target weight and choose How fast: By weekly pace (in lb or kg a week, whichever you use in My Profile) or By a target date (type the weeks or pick the date and we show the pace it takes). Maintain and Recomposition don't need a target weight; we work out your daily calories and your protein, carbs and fat. Prefer your own numbers? Choose Me under Who sets the numbers: type your daily calories and we split them into protein, carbs and fat the way the app recommends, or type your macros and we add up the calories — then fine-tune any macro. Your targets start from your BMR (resting burn), raised for your daily activity to your expected burn, then adjusted for your goal (about 500 calories a day for each pound a week); if you count exercise by the workouts you log, they're added on top. The top of Day shows what you've eaten, the calories you have left and what you've burned (your expected burn plus the workouts you logged), with a ring each for protein, carbs and fat; tap How today's budget is worked out for the numbers behind it. Week opens with Nutrition & Targets: a bar for calories, protein, carbs and fat on each day against that day's target — tap a day to see its numbers, switch between Consumed and Remaining, and point at a bar for its details. Day is a timeline: your food sits under the hour you ate it, with each hour's calories and macros beside it, so there is no Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner to pick. Add what you eat with the + in the bottom bar → Add food, with + Add food under the timeline, or with the + beside an hour. Each food has a Time field (it starts at the time it is now, or on the hour you tapped), so you can add something you ate earlier today or on a past day. The foods you logged most recently, at any time of day, sit along the top — tap one to add it, or scroll sideways for more. Ate it at a different time? Tap the food and change its Time, or hold it (press and hold on a phone) and drag it onto another hour. Search results show a picture of each food, its calories, protein, carbs and fat, and the portion. Type in the search bar at the bottom to find any food, and tap a food to choose how much. Nothing found? Tap Create “…” under the search and the food opens with the name you typed — add its serving and calories, save, and log it. Just need the calories? Tap Quick add beside it to log a name, calories and macros without saving a food. The tabs along the top switch to Scan (a barcode or label), Create a food from its label, or Create a recipe. Each food shows its calories and macros up top; tap Detailed nutrition facts to expand the full table and other nutrients; weighed it? Pick grams or ounces and enter what the scale says. For a dish you make — a breakfast sandwich, rice and beef, pad thai — tap Create a recipe, add each ingredient with the amount you used, say how many servings it makes (and, if you like, what the finished dish weighs), then log a serving. Open a recipe and tap Edit recipe to change it. Tap anything you logged to change the amount or remove it. The ring shows the calories you have left today; if you count exercise by the workouts you log, they're added to today's budget automatically. Use the arrows or the date beside them to look back at earlier days (Today brings you back). To change your goal, tap the Targets icon (the sliders) in the top-right corner of the summary. The ⓘ beside it shows when you'll reach your target, whether you're ahead of, on or behind your plan, a note when your target is under your BMR, and why when we've raised your target to the minimum — point at it, or tap it on a phone. Week also shows Surplus / deficit by day, a waterfall of how far over (surplus) or under (deficit) your expected burn you ate each day, with the days still ahead faded at your average and a total. Week also shows how many calories are left for the week and about how much to eat each day to land it — choose a day in Nutrition & Targets and tap Open to go to it. History opens with Surplus / deficit by week, a waterfall: each week is a bar that steps the running total up when you ate more than you burned (a surplus) or down when you ate less (a deficit), then four faded bars for the next four weeks at your recent pace and a final Total, with the weekly figure and the weight it works out to; it needs at least 7 logged days. Below it, History charts your average calories week by week and your trend weight, with a dashed line for your plan; Show as table lists the numbers. Only you can see your nutrition.

Dates and times

Every date and time is shown in your device's own time zone, so a comment posted at 9 pm says 9 pm where you are. A workout, check-in or meal stays on the day and time you logged it — a late-evening session never jumps to tomorrow. Travelling? What you log uses your phone's or computer's time zone at that moment.

Track body check-ins

Body opens on Progress: your trend weight as a line over your weigh-ins (the dots), your goal as a dashed line if you set one in Nutrition, how much it has changed since your first check-in, your pace a week and when you will reach your goal at that pace. Pick 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y or All, tap or point at the chart to read any day (or use the arrow keys), and tap Table to see the numbers. The tiles below switch the chart to Waist, Body fat, Hips, Neck or Thighs. To log, tap Check in (or + → Body check-in): it slides up on a phone and opens as a pop-up on a computer. Your last weight is already filled in, so use − and + to adjust it and tap Save check-in. Open Add measurements for your waist, neck, hips and thighs (body fat is estimated from them) and Add photos for front, side and back. Weigh in at the same time of day when you can. In History, tap a check-in to see its details and photos, add two to compare them side by side, or edit or delete one. The Club 1000+ phone app shows this same Body screen, so everything here works there too; adding a photo there lets you take one with the camera or choose one from your phone.

Compare performance

Visit Leaderboards for the Challenge: total lifting volume, cardio minutes, the number of days you logged food or a weigh-in, and body weight %. Switch between Rolling 30 days and All time, and between My Gym (if you follow one), Friends and Everyone. Only totals are shared — never what you ate or what you weigh. On a phone, open it from the account menu (tap your photo in the top-right corner); on a computer it is in the sidebar. Use member cards to view badges and send friend requests.

Profile and settings

On a phone, tap your photo in the top-right corner to slide out the account menu. It lists Overview, My Gym, Friends, Blocked users, Badges and Account Management — the sections that used to sit in a row of tabs — then Leaderboards, plus Help (this page), Send feedback, Privacy Policy, Open-source licenses and Sign out below the line. Deleting your account is not in this menu on purpose; it lives in Account Management so it is never one stray tap away. Each one opens on its own screen; tap the menu button beside the section name to come back. On a computer the same sections stay as tabs across the top of My Profile. Update units, theme, and avatar in Account Management so stats display in your preferred format across all charts.

Founding Member badge

The first 100 members of Club 1000+ are Founding Members, numbered #001 to #100 in the order they first logged something — a workout, a food or a body check-in. Signing up alone doesn’t earn a number. If you are one, a gold Founding Member badge with your number sits under your name on My Profile and at the top of the account menu (tap your photo, top-right). Your number is permanent — it stays yours for as long as your account exists. If you don’t see a badge after logging, all 100 numbers were already taken.

See your year at a glance

In My Profile → Overview, the Yearly View shows one square for every day, filled on the days you trained: light red for cardio only, red for strength only and dark burgundy for days you did both. The buttons beside the tabs zoom in: 12M shows the last 12 months (a phone opens on 3M), 3M adds weekday labels and bigger squares, 1M shows one month with the day number in each square and how many exercises you did that day, and 7D lists your last seven days with what you did, your volume and your minutes. Tap a month under the calendar to look at that month and the two before it, and tap it again to go back to 12M. Tap Last 12 months or a year to look back. Tap Body check-ins or Nutrition to see the days you checked in or logged food instead, Tap (or point at) any day to see what it was; on 3M and 1M the tip also counts that day's exercises. On Exercise, Consistency is the share of days you had a workout that day or in the two days before it, so a workout every three days or sooner counts as consistent and three rest days in a row breaks it. It starts the day you signed up, changes to the year you pick, and follows 3M, 1M or 7D when you zoom in. Current streak and Longest streak count days in a row that stay consistent. On Body check-ins and Nutrition, Active weeks and the streaks still count weeks, so a rest week never hurts them and a new week doesn't count against you until it's over. The numbers under the grid are the days logged each month. Only you can see it.

Read your Exercise History KPIs

In My Profile → Overview → Strength, the Exercise History KPIs card shows how your training is trending. e1RM Trend is the change in your best estimated one-rep max per lift over the last 4 weeks versus the 4 before. Volume Load is sets × reps × weight in the last 7 days. Training Load compares this week with your 4-week average: 0.8–1.3 is the sweet spot, above 1.5 is a spike worth recovering from. PRs counts new personal bests in 30 days. Weekly Minutes tracks cardio against the 150-minute weekly guideline, Pace and Distance Trend compare the last 4 weeks with the 4 before, and Mobility counts stretching days against 2–3 a week.

Common questions

Where did Log and Ranks go on my phone?

The bottom bar is now Feed, Workouts, +, Nutrition and Body. Workouts is the old Log (your session and history), Body is Check-ins, and the + in the middle adds food, a workout, water, a fast or a check-in from anywhere. Leaderboards (was Ranks) is in the account menu behind your photo.

My exercise is missing

check date filters in History and verify the save timestamp.

Logging a plank

Plank is logged in sets of time, not reps. Type each hold as seconds (45) or minutes and seconds (1:30), and add weight only if you wore some. Planks you logged before as cardio are kept, each as one hold of the same length. The leaderboard ranks your longest single hold.

Which muscles does an exercise train?

Choose an exercise in Log Exercise, then tap Info. Primary muscles are solid red, secondary muscles use light red with an outline, and the text lists remain available when a muscle has no drawable region. Exercise information never changes or blocks your workout entry.

What is the My Gym tab on the feed?

If you picked a gym in My Gym, the feed gets a third tab beside All and Friends that shows only the shared sessions and check-ins of members of your gym. With no gym there is no tab. It never shows which gym you follow to anyone else.

Leaderboard score seems off

lifting is weight × reps and cardio is minutes over the window you picked (rolling 30 days or all time), so confirm your logged reps, weight and cardio time.

Charts look empty

ensure at least one saved exercise/check-in exists in your account.

Where my new session sits on the feed

the feed is strictly newest first, by the date and time on the exercise itself — not by when you saved it. If a session you just recorded appears below older posts, check its Start Time: a back-dated entry lands where that date falls. Session notes and photos do not move a post up the feed.

My workout isn't on the feed

new sessions and check-ins are private until you share them. Tap Share beside Log additional notes/photos on that day in Log Exercise (or turn on Share when you edit a check-in). Anything you logged before sharing became optional is still shared unless you hid it.

Who can see a private workout

only you. Other members can't see it on the feed, like it or comment on it. Your totals still count toward badges and Leaderboards.

I hid a post by mistake

nothing was lost. Open that day in Log Exercise and tap Share — the post comes back with its likes and comments. For a check-in, edit it and turn Share back on.

I can't comment from History anymore

comments are posted from the Feed only. Find the session on the feed and tap Add a comment… (or the comment icon) to open its comments — you can read the whole thread and reply there. History is for checking, editing, copying and deleting your exercises.

Where is an exercise's past history?

While logging or editing a strength exercise, tap History beside its name. It slides up as a full page; sort by Newest, Oldest or Best e1RM. It is there for exercises you have already saved too, so you can compare as you save each set.

"Add photo" is greyed out

you already have 4 photos on that session — the card shows "4 of 4 photos". Remove one with the × on its thumbnail to make room.

Feed photos appear a moment after the posts

that is expected — the feed loads the posts first, then each photo fills in on its own as you scroll, so the feed opens quickly even when members have attached a lot of pictures. A photo that stays blank usually means a slow connection; pull to refresh (or reload the page) and it will load again.

Where are the open-source licenses?

Open your account menu (tap your picture) and choose Open-source licenses, or use the link at the bottom of any page. It lists the software, fonts, icons, food data and exercise data Club 1000+ is built with, and their licenses.

Staying signed in

leave Stay logged in for 30 days ticked when you sign in (it is on by default). You stay signed in on that device for as long as you keep using the app at least once a month; signing out, changing your password, or an admin sign-out ends it. Untick it on a shared computer to be signed out when the browser closes.

Refreshing shows "Signing you back in…"

that is normal — the app is re-checking your session, not signing you out. If it cannot reach the server it keeps your session and offers a Retry button; only an expired or ended session shows the login form.

Why is my trend weight different from what the scale said?

Your weight goes up and down every day with water and food. Trend weight smooths those swings out so you see which way you are really heading; each dot on the chart is what the scale said. It is the same trend Nutrition uses, and your weekly pace and goal date come from it.

Why did my calorie target change?

Targets follow your latest weigh-in in Body Check-ins and the goal you chose, so a new weigh-in or a new goal gives a new target from that day. Earlier days keep the target they had.

How is exercise counted in my calories?

You choose, in Targets → How exercise is counted. In my activity level works like most calorie calculators: pick Sedentary, Light, Moderate, Active, Very active or Extra active, and your exercise is already in that number, so the workouts you log are shown but not added. Add the workouts I log sets your everyday movement without exercise and adds each workout you log to that day's budget. Don't count exercise leaves workouts out entirely. With either of the last two, How much you move outside workouts covers the rest of your day — walking, standing, chores — which your logged workouts don't include; pick None: my BMR only if you want your budget to be your BMR plus only the workouts you log (or your BMR alone). Changing it applies from today; earlier days keep what they had.

Which BMR formula should I pick?

Mifflin-St Jeor is the most accurate for most people and is the default. Revised Harris-Benedict is an older equation. Katch-McArdle uses your body fat % and can be more accurate if you're lean — it needs a body check-in with body fat % from the last 30 days. Average of the formulas uses the mean of them. The Calorie calculator in Targets updates as you switch, so you can compare. Every result is an estimate; your weekly check-in can correct it from what you actually eat and weigh.

Where do workout calories come from?

From what you log. Every workout in Log Exercise shows its active calories — the calories above what your body burns at rest — and the session shows its total. If you count exercise by the workouts you log, that exact number is added to that day's nutrition budget. Your resting burn is already in your target, so counting it again would add those calories twice. Strength exercises are estimated from how long each one took, from opening it to saving it, up to 4 minutes a set (older entries from the website use about 2½ minutes a set); WODs from their time; cardio uses its logged calories, or an estimate from distance and time. No estimate yet? Add a weigh-in in Body Check-ins.

I went over my calories

that's fine — the ring just shows how much. Weight changes over weeks, not single days, so one bigger day barely matters. Keep logging honestly; that's what makes the numbers useful.

Why can't I see calorie targets?

Targets are for members who have confirmed they are 18 or older, and they need your date of birth, height and a weigh-in. You can still log food either way.

Where do the foods come from?

From USDA FoodData Central, the US government's public food database: thousands of everyday foods with the portions you'd use — a sausage link or patty, a hot dog, a burger patty, a slice of bread. Search the way you'd say it: hot dog finds frankfurters and burger finds hamburger patties, and the spelling doesn't matter for foods from other kitchens — daal, dhal and dal are the same search, as are roti and chapati, hommus and hummus, tabouli and tabbouleh, or kebab and kabob. Indian and Lebanese favourites such as naan, dosa, idli, samosa, biryani, paneer, falafel and tabbouleh are in the list with their usual portions, and it includes packaged foods sold in India and Lebanon. Home-style curries and dishes — chicken tikka masala, korma, vindaloo, dals, bhajis, pakoras, raita, saag, kofta, houmous and stuffed vine leaves — come from the UK's food tables (McCance and Widdowson's Composition of Foods, credited under each dish); they have no set portion, so enter them in grams or ounces (weigh your plate, or check a recipe's serving). Can't find something — a home-cooked dish, say? Scan its barcode (the short 8-digit codes on small bottles and cans work too, scanned or typed), or, when a search finds nothing, tap Create “…” to make it with the name you typed (or Quick add to just log the calories).

Can I scan a barcode?

Yes. Tap + Add food, then Scan beside the search box, and point your camera at the barcode (or type the number under it). There's nothing to tap: when the frame turns green it's read the code and looks it up. We look it up in Open Food Facts, an open database of packaged foods (its data is shared under the Open Database License, ODbL, credited under the food's facts), and keep it so the next scan is instant; many packaged foods from India and Lebanon are already here, so their scan is instant from the start. If nobody knows it yet, you get Create a food with the barcode filled in, and you'll find it next time you scan it. Just need the calories now? Tap Quick add there to log a name, calories and macros without saving a food. Foods you add — typed in, from a label scan or from a barcode — are recorded as added by you, so the club's admins can check them and add good ones to the shared food list. Your food log itself stays private.

Can I scan a nutrition label?

In Create a food, tap Scan the label and hold the Nutrition Facts panel flat inside the frame — upright or sideways, and no need to tap to take a picture. A line sweeps down the frame while it reads, the label's words light up as they're recognised, and a red box shows the label is being read; the chips underneath tick off Serving, Calories, Protein, Carbs and Fat with the number it read. Once it has them the box turns green, a check mark appears and the form fills in. Tap Use what's read to stop early, or Use a photo to take or pick one instead (in the Android app, choose Take a photo or Choose a photo). It's read on your phone and never uploaded; check each number against the label before you save. Flat and well lit works best.

Where are sodium, sugar and the other nutrients?

Open Nutrients on the Day tab: your totals for the day with the label's % Daily Value, for information only. Foods from a barcode or a label you scan usually list them; when only some of the day's foods did, it says how many.

Can I use kilojoules?

Yes. In My Profile, set Energy to kJ with your other units. Nutrition and the Log's active calories then show kJ, and anything you type is in kJ.

How do I save a meal I eat often?

Log it once, then tap Save meal under the timeline (beside + Add food), tick the foods to include and give it a name. Next time, tap + Add food: your Saved meals are at the top. Open one, choose the Time and tap Add these foods to log all of them at once; you can still change or remove each one after. To delete a saved meal, open it and tap Delete saved meal twice.

What does "Mark day complete" do?

Any day you logged food on is marked complete automatically when it ends, and complete days count toward your weekly check-in. You can still add, change or remove foods on any day, including past ones, whenever you remember something. Tap Mark day complete to finish today early, or Mark incomplete to leave a day out of your check-in (say you forgot to log a meal). Days with nothing logged are left out, never counted as eating nothing.

What is the weekly check-in?

Once you have two weeks with most days (70 %) marked complete and at least two weigh-ins, the Week tab shows a check-in on your week's first day. It compares what you ate with how your trend weight moved to estimate how much you really burn (before workouts, which are still added each day), and suggests new targets. Nothing changes until you tap Use new targets; Keep current leaves them as they are, and Use the formula instead goes back to the standard estimate at any time. If you set your own numbers, there's no check-in.

How do I track water?

In Nutrition, Water is the blue ring beside Protein, Carbs and Fat. Tap the Water tile under the rings to log a cup (+ 8 fl oz, or + 250 ml if you use kg) now. Tap the water ring for more: a bottle (+ 16.9 fl oz or + 500 ml), Other amount for anything else and a different time, and Goal. Each drink shows on the timeline at the time you had it, and each hour adds up its water beside its calories and macros. Tap a drink there to change its amount or time, or to delete it — or hold it and drag it to another hour. Your goal starts at about 35 ml per kg of body weight; tap the ring, then Goal, to set your own, or Recommended to go back. Water has no calories and doesn't need targets set up.

How do I track a fast?

In Nutrition, tap the Fasting tile beside Water under the rings, then Start fast (or tap + → Fasting from any screen). Pick a goal — 13:11, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, 24 h or Custom (1 to 72 hours, shown in hours, like 15 h) — and when it started; if you began last night, step the day back and set the time. Leave Notify me when I reach my goal ticked (tap the box or its words; a tick shows when it's on) and your phone tells you at the goal time, even with the app or browser closed: the Android app sets an alarm itself, and on the website your browser asks once whether Club 1000+ may send notifications (in the Android app the app alerts you itself; on an iPhone browser, add Club 1000+ to your Home Screen first — if a browser can't send alerts, the option isn't shown; if you said no, allow notifications for the site in your browser settings). The tile then shows how long you've been fasting and a bar toward your goal — worked out from the moment you started, so it's right even after your phone has been asleep or the app closed; tap it to see when you'll reach the goal, and tap End fast when you eat (you can change the end time). If you log food while a fast is running, we ask whether to end the fast at that food's time — choose Keep fasting if not. Past fasts (tap the tile) lists your finished fasts; tap one to change its times or goal, or to delete it (tap Delete twice). Fasting is for members 18 and over, doesn't change your calorie budget, and is private like the rest of Nutrition. Fasting isn't for everyone: if you're pregnant, have diabetes or have had an eating disorder, check with your doctor first.

How fast can I lose or gain?

Pick a pace in lb or kg a week, or a target date. There's no limit: we recommend up to 1 % of your body weight a week when losing (0.5 % when gaining) — at 300 lb that's 3 lb a week, at 150 lb 1.5 lb — and if you pick a faster pace or a closer date, we'll set your calories for it and let you know it's faster than recommended. Your calories never go below a safe minimum.

Is the calorie number on a workout the same everywhere?

Yes: the entry form, the session list and your nutrition budget all work out active calories the same way, from the workout's saved calories.

What is trend weight?

Your weight moves a pound or two day to day with water and food. Your trend smooths that out so you can see where you are really heading — in History, choose the last 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Your calories use your latest weigh-in; the trend is for seeing the direction. Weigh in often in Body Check-ins — the more weigh-ins, the better the trend.

A day in my week says "Not logged"

days with nothing logged aren't counted in your weekly budget, so they don't make it look like you ate nothing. Log that day in Day and it counts again.

Why is my week's daily pace different from my daily target?

The pace spreads what's left of the week over the days ahead, so a bigger day earlier in the week lowers it and a lighter one raises it. It never goes below your minimum; you can always just eat to each day's target.

My week starts on the wrong day

open Targets and change Week starts on to Monday or Sunday.

What's the difference between BMR and expected burn?

BMR is what your body burns at complete rest, worked out from your latest weigh-in, height, age and sex. Expected burn adds your everyday activity outside workouts (the level you chose in Targets). Workouts are never assumed — they count only when you log them.

My recipe's calories look off

check each ingredient's amount — recipes add up exactly what you enter. If you weighed the finished dish, enter that weight so a serving matches what's on your plate.

Can other members see my foods or recipes?

No. Foods and recipes you create are yours. An admin may add a food you created to the shared food list, where it stays credited to you; your recipes are never shared.

Why is my target higher than I asked for?

We never set a daily target below a safe minimum — 1,200 calories a day for women, 1,500 for everyone else. Under that it's hard to get enough protein, vitamins and minerals from food. When your goal asks for less, the ⓘ in the summary's corner shows the number your plan works out to and that we've set the minimum instead; choose a slower pace or a later target date to see your own number again.

My target is below my BMR. Is that right?

Yes. Your BMR is what you burn at rest; your daily activity and workouts burn more on top, so eating a little under your BMR is what creates a real deficit when you're losing weight. The ⓘ in the summary's corner says so when it happens, and your target never goes below the minimum above.

I can't find the Profile tabs on my phone

they moved into the account menu. Tap your photo in the top-right corner and the menu slides out with Overview, My Gym, Friends, Blocked users, Badges and Account Management as a list. Nothing was removed, and the tabs are unchanged on a computer.

Tapping my photo no longer opens my profile straight away

that is the change above — it opens the menu first, so you can go to the exact section you want in one more tap. Overview is the screen the photo used to open.

A KPI shows "—"

trends need something to compare. e1RM and Pace Trend need the same lift or activity logged in both of the last two 4-week blocks, and Training Load needs about 4 weeks of lifting. Keep logging and they fill in.

Can I try the calorie maths before setting targets, or share it with a friend?

Yes. The public calorie calculator uses the same BMR formulas and table as Nutrition → Targets. It only warns about very low numbers; your targets in the app still never go below 1,200 calories a day for women or 1,500 for everyone else. To log home cooking, see the recipe builder guide.

How is my estimated one-rep max (e1RM) worked out?

From the weight and the reps you completed in a set (a failed rep doesn't count), as the average of the Mayhew, Wathan and Lombardi formulas; a single rep is its own max. The same maths runs on the public one rep max calculator, and the 1000 lb club calculator adds your squat, bench and deadlift estimates against 1000 lb. An estimate never puts you on the 1000+ board — that needs a video-reviewed max.

My first log of a lift isn't counted as a PR

that is on purpose — the first time you log an exercise sets your baseline. PRs (30 Days) counts only times you beat it.

My gym isn't in the list

gyms are added by the Club 1000+ admins. Use Send feedback in the account menu with your gym's name and website and ask for it to be added.

My gym's workouts didn't update

the list refreshes about every 30 minutes; tap Refresh in My Gym. If it says it couldn't refresh, your gym's website didn't answer — you'll still see the last workouts it posted.

"Your gym's feed is no longer available"

that gym was removed from the list. Open My Gym and choose another.

My WOD didn't move my leaderboard or 1000 Club numbers

that is on purpose — a WOD is scored by its own time or rounds. The lifts inside a WOD aren't counted as strength sets. Log a lift on its own if you want it on the leaderboard.

My phone app says "This is a WOD. Update the app"

your app is older than WOD logging. It can show your WODs but not edit them — update the app from the store, or edit the WOD on the website.

Where did Mini Games go?

Mini Games, its rest-timer games and the game leaderboards have been taken out of the app, so they are no longer in the bottom bar on a phone. Your rest timer still runs in Log Exercise — at zero it shows Rest over and alerts you (on the website, allow notifications when asked; a locked phone's browser may not alert until you open it), and your lifting and cardio rankings are unchanged in Leaderboards. An old link to Mini Games now opens the Activity Feed.

I allowed notifications but nothing shows up

first check that your computer or phone lets your browser show notifications at all — on a Mac, System Settings → Notifications → your browser; on Windows, Settings → System → Notifications; and turn off Do Not Disturb or Focus. On the website the rest timer can only alert you while its page is open and your phone is unlocked — for an alert on a locked phone, use the Android app. A fasting goal alert reaches you even with the browser closed, within about 15 minutes of your goal time. If we told you a fast has no goal alert, tap the Fasting tile, then Edit, tick Notify me when I reach my goal and save.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We send a link that lets you choose a new password; it works once and expires after an hour. Nothing changes on your account until you use it.

How do I download or delete my data?

Open the account menu (tap your photo) → Account Management. Export My Data downloads everything you have logged. Deleting your data or your whole account is there too, and asks for your current password first.

Where do I find this help in the app?

On a phone, tap your photo in the top-right corner and choose Help. On a computer, click your name at the foot of the sidebar and choose Help. Either way it opens this page.

Still stuck?

In the app, open the account menu and choose Send feedback. Or write to us on the Contact page. Calories, body fat, BMR and e1RM in the app are fitness estimates, not medical or dietary advice.
